Leaving the cold of Canada we flew south to the warmth of
California
for the last major leg of our holiday. Even in the middle of winter
Los Angeles
had sunny and warm weather. No wonder it is a holiday capital.
For the first 3 nights we stayed in a hotel in
Hollywood. Surprisingly,
the famous
Hollywood sign
was not easy to find, but eventually we found
it and this is the best shot we could get.
The Mann's Chinese Theatre
is another famous Hollywood landmark, centred
around the
star walk of fame
and home of the
forecourt of star's hand/footprints.

Did we see any stars in Hollywood? Well not entirely. We did
park next to a sexy looking pink corvette which we later saw again
on a huge billboard...

A visit to
Santa Monica
offered us great beach-side shopping, along
with great entertainment at night at
Santa Monica Pier.

proved that California is the place to be all year round.
