Museum of Flight

One of the highlights of our Seattle visit was the Museum of Flight. It is set next to the Boeing airport and the fake control tower room has a great view of the runway where you can watch aircraft take off and land, while listening to the real control tower radio.

The actual Air Force One jet was on show and open for tourists to walk through. This presidential jet was in use from 1959 to 1996. Not so presidential was the jet Rod squeezed into. The fun part was watching him squeeze out...

This FG-1D Corsair WWII fighter has the distinction of having spent thirty-three years at the bottom of Lake Washington after a midair crash in 1950. Wow!
